PICTURE BASED CIGARETTE WARNINGS

Venezuelan cigarette warnings

In 2004, Venezuela adopted a regulation which requires that cigarettes display one of the following ten warning messages, covering one complete side of each package.

In April 2009, a new set of warnings was announced in the Venezuelan Gazette.  Tobacco companies were provided with 3 months to have the new warnings on their cigarettes (i.e. by July 2009).
