Mauritius
cigarette warnings
Mauritius
became the first African country to require picture based
health warnings. The warnings were announced on February
2009, and will be required to be shown on packages as of
June 1, 2009.
The
size of the warnings are 65% of both sides of the
principal display surface (the largest to date).
Eight warning messages are
required.
These cover 60% of the front (French), and 70% of
the back (English).
