April 15, 2009.  New Brunswick Minister of Justice and Consumer Affairs, Michael Murphy, introduces Bill 48.
April 17, 2009.  Bill 48 receives second reading
June 17-18, 2009. Bill 48 is reviewed by committee of the whole and receives third reading.
The Honourable Leona Aglukkaq, Minister of Health, announces the tabling of new legislation that will protect children and youth from tobacco marketing that encourages them to smoke.  The Minister made her announcement at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ottawa on May 26, 2009. June 24, 2009
